Have you ever had a DIY stain job go bad? Yeah, Most of them do go bad. It’s the rare one that turns out right. It doesn’t matter what brand of stain you use. All those Youtube videos only work in a perfect world. Having a concrete stain job turn out bad is a complete disaster, and it’s permanent. That’s what happened here. See the last couple of Photos. Fortunately, We were able to prepare the surface well enough to be overlaid with antique wood plank. Each plank is 7-1/4″ wide, and because the outside edge was ruined too, It was covered as well. Notice how the plank cuts stop off 3/4″ down the outside edge. It’s a truly unique look no doubt.
