This house would get a water leak about once a year, ruining the floor each time. The owners had enough of it so we overlaid it with antique looking barn wood plank. Now if there’s a water leak, just fix it with a mop. There were plenty of cracks and divots to repair from carpet tacks. All those painted spots had to be repaired too. Transition ramps were poured everywhere there was existing tile so there would be nothing to trip over. The result was a totally smooth transition from the wood floor to the tile. The planks are 7-1/4″ wide.
